MANKATO, Minn. (August 16, 2012) – La Crosse Loggers third baseman Brandon Bednar (Florida Gulf Coast) earned Northwoods League Player of the Night for Thursday, August 16. 

Bednar started off the scoring for the La Crosse with a two-run homerun in the top of the second inning. He would finish the night going 2-for-5 with two RBI and two runs scored. The homerun was his second of the postseason. 

The Loggers won game one, 12-2. Game two of the 2012 Summer Collegiate World Series between the Mankato MoonDogs and La Crosse Loggers is Friday at 7:05 p.m. in La Crosse.
