BATTLE CREEK, MI- The Battle Creek Bombers are finalizing the team’s roster as the 2013 season approaches, and it will include four returning players from the summer of 2012.

Pitchers Kenton San Miguel, Caleb Vincent and Ethan Bramschreiber along with outfielder Colin Willis will all be back for a second season in Battle Creek after completing their junior seasons at school.

Willis, who attends school at Purdue University North Central, led the team last year in qualified batting average (.284), at-bats (275), hits (78) and triples (3). He appeared in 68 out of the teams 70 games and looks to be a solid foundation for the Bombers’ offense.

San Miguel made 20 relief appearances in 2012 allowing 12 earned runs over 28 innings. He will first complete his junior season in Mount Pleasant at Central Michigan, where he threw just five innings in 2012, before returning to the team in May.

Vincent started ten games for Battle Creek last year, compiling a 2-3 record with a 5.65 ERA. The lefty will get his first opportunity to play at Grand Valley State this season after two impressive years at Kellogg Community College.

Bramschreiber struck out 37 batters in 26.2 innings in 2012 with Battle Creek. The powerful 6’4" right-hander, who attends Northwestern University, also led the team in WHIP, allowing just 12 hits all season. "We had a great pitching staff last year," says Bramschreiber, "Our goal is to win the Northwoods League Championship. In 13 appearances in his sophomore season at NU, Bramschreiber gave up five runs over 14.1 innings while striking out 12 batters.

These four players will help bring a second year presence to the Bombers who look to capture another Northwoods League title.
