Waterloo, IA – The Waterloo Bucks, a member of the Northwoods League, have announced the signing of catcher Adam Dennison to their roster for the 2013 season. Dennison,  a sophomore at Eastern Michigan University, is the eighth player to be named to Waterloo’s roster for the team’s 19th season.

Last season for the Eagles, Dennison played in 29 games, hitting .253 with six RBI. The 6’2", 205-pounder hit .345 over his final 12 games and threw out five potential base-stealers during the year.

"I greatly appreciate the Bucks giving me a chance to play for them in the 2013 season," said Dennison. "I look forward to growing in my baseball skills and getting a chance to play against other great players from around the country."

During the summer of 2012, Dennison played for the Stark County Terriers of the Great Lakes Summer Collegiate League. The Broadview Heights, Ohio native hit .330 for the summer with four home runs and 12 RBI in 29 games.

"Adam has a strong body, is very agile, and receives and blocks the ball well behind the plate," said Bucks general manager Dan Corbin. "I feel like we are helping ourselves with the signing of Adam by adding the power we need from the right side along with his solid defense."
Born September 16, 1991, Dennison attended Padua Franciscan High School where he was a four-year letter winner in baseball. Dennison was named the North Coast League MVP his senior year, hitting .484. Adam is the son of Mark and Sherrie Dennison.

The Bucks will open the 2013 season at home versus the St. Cloud Rox on May 29. Season tickets, group outings, and single-game tickets are currently on sale.
