EAU CLAIRE, Wis. – March 13, 2013 – Express Field Manager Dale Varsho today announced three additions to his roster for the upcoming Northwoods League season.

The two pitchers and shortstop come from the New Mexico Lobos, a familiar school for the Express. Tyler Rowe, Taylor Duree and Sam Haggerty bring the total of verbal commitments to 15.

Rowe is a freshman pitcher from Rancho Cucamonga, Calif. He has not yet pitched this spring for the Lobos, but had considerable success as a senior at Los Osos High School. The right-hander finished with a 6-3 record, 1.49 earned run average and 72 strikeouts in 65.2 innings pitched, earning him First Team All-Inland Valley honors.
Duree is a freshman right-handed pitcher for the Lobos. In four appearances thus far in 2013, he has given up one hit and struck out two batters in three innings pitched. The Albuquerque, N.M. native was named to the 2012 Rawlings All-Region Team as a senior at Sandia High School.
Haggerty is a switch-hitting shortstop for New Mexico. The freshman is off to a hot start to his college career, compiling a .333 batting average, .474 on-base percentage and 11 walks in 45 at-bats. The Denver, Colo. native has played in all 14 games in early action this spring.

The Express begin their ninth season of Northwoods League play on May 29 in Madison to take on the Mallards. Eau Claire begins their home schedule on Sunday, June 2 against the Wisconsin Woodchucks. First pitch for that contest is scheduled for 5:05 p.m. Roster announcements will continue to be announced throughout the spring until opening day.
The Northwoods League has more teams, plays more games, and draws more fans than any Summer Collegiate Baseball League in North America.
