BATTLE CREEK, MI- The Battle Creek Bombers have announced the signing of catcher/pitcher Kade Scivicque.

Kade Scivicque: 5’11" – 210lb, B/R-T/R, C/RHP, Southwest Mississippi (Soph.), Maurepas, LA.
The versatile Scivicque is entering his sophomore season at Southwest Mississippi. He has signed with LSU for the 2014 season. Scivicque is considered one of the top catchers in the league with a .9270 fielding percentage, 91 putouts and 11 errors after his first season behind the plate. He was also one of the best arms that the Bears featured during the 2012 season. He racked up 41 strikeouts in 52.2 innings of work while compiling a 4.10 ERA and walking just 15. He also features a potent bat. Kade hit .326 during the 2012 campaign with 10 doubles, 27 RBI’s and a team-high 5 home runs.
During his senior year at Maurepas High School, Kade lit up opposing pitching to the tune of a .568 batting average with 10 home runs and 53 RBI’s. He led the Wolves to a District title en route to their first ever appearance in the Class B State Tournament. Scivicque was named the Most Valuable Player at the Louisiana High School Coaches Association All-Star games later that year.
The Battle Creek Bombers are members of the Northwoods League that has more teams, plays more games, and draws more fans than any other summer collegiate baseball league in America.
