MANKATO, Minn. — The Mankato MoonDogs Baseball Club, a member of the Northwoods League, is proud to announce that catchers Matt Jones and Patrick Kendall, along with pitchers Tobin Mateychick and Cam Booser have signed temporary contracts to play for the MoonDogs in the 2013 season.

Jones, a 6-foot, 185-pound junior from Southern Illinois University is currently batting .338 for the Salukis in 35 games this spring, while leading the team with 31 RBIs. Jones is in his first season with SIU after transferring from Central Arizona College.
Kendall, a 6-foot-3-inch, 208-pound sophomore from Black Hawk College (Kewanee, Ill.) is batting .362 with five homeruns and 18 RBIs through 25 games for the Braves. On defense, Kendall has made 128 putouts and 11 assists without committing an error.
Mateychick, a 6-foot-5-inch, 195-pound junior from Wichita State has appeared in 14 innings for the Shockers this spring, posting a 2-2 record while striking out 10 batters.
Booser, a 6-foot-4-inch, 220-pound sophomore from Central Arizona College has appeared in 17.2 innings for the Vaqueros this spring, posting a 2-1 record and striking out 20 batters.
The MoonDogs home opener is scheduled for Wednesday, May 29th at 7:05 p.m. against the Rochester Honkers at Franklin Rogers Park. Jeff Reardon will be the Opening Night Guest presented by Wealth Enhancement Group, along with a fireworks extravaganza.
