With the weather improving and the 2013 Northwoods League season approaching quickly, the Bullfrogs are pleased to announce three new signings to their 2013 roster.
Infielders Andrew Ely (Washington) and Donald “Tripp” Martin (Samford) and pitcher Michael Fain (Nevada) will play their summer ball for Green Bay in 2013.
Ely is a 5’10” sophomore who originally hails from Eagle, Idaho. He has appeared in 37 games for the Huskies this season, starting 35 of them. Ely has posted a .308 batting average, with no home runs and eight RBI to this point in the season. He is the second Bullfrogs to come from Washington in the last two years, with outfielder Mac Acker playing in Green Bay in 2012.
Martin is a redshirt sophomore originally from Pelham, Ala. He stands at 6’1” and weighs 215 lbs. Martin has not played in a game in the 2013 season. He must sit out under NCAA transfer rules after transferring from Coastal Carolina after the 2012 season. He hit .216 with three home runs and seven RBI for the Chanticleers in 2012. 
Fain is one of several pitchers signed by Green Bay for the 2013 season. He has a solid frame for the hurler, standing is 6’6”. In his freshman year for the Wolfpack, Fain has appeared in 19 games (one start) and has posted a 5.59 ERA. Having fallen into the closer’s role for Nevada, Fain has posted nine saves thus far this season. He is expected to work out of the bullpen for the Bullfrogs in the 2013 season.
The Bullfrogs’ home opener is May 30 against the Wisconsin Woodchucks. First pitch is scheduled for 6:35 p.m. Individual and season ticket packages are still available.
