Mankato, Minn (June 23rd, 2013)–Sunday’s schedule was defined by extra innings, but the game between Willmar and Mankato ended as a regulation pitchers’ duel. Fortunately for the MoonDogs, Cameron Giannini (Southern Miss) was on the hill on their side.
Giannini pitched eight shutout innings and struck out nine batters while allowing only two hits and two walks. His ERA on the season is now 1.91.
The MoonDogs will host Thunder Bay at 7:05 on Monday.
