Madison, WI (june 28th, 2013)–The Madison Mallards put up a one-hit shutout of the Wisconsin Woodchucks on Friday night. The effort was led by starter Greg Welsh (Penn State) who was brilliant.
Welsh threw seven innings and gave up the lone hit while striking out seven Woodchucks on the night. His season ERA moved down to 2.25 as the Mallards moved into a tie for first.
The Mallards travel to Battle Creek for a 7:05 game on Saturday.
