Willmar, Minn (June 29th, 2013)–The Rochester Honkers may not be in the thick of the race for a first-half championship, but they certainly played the role of spoiler on Saturday night. Behind the efforts of Tyler Eppler (Sam Houston), the Honkers blanked the Stingers and got a win.

Eppler, who is a big 6’5" righty from Navasota, Texas, pitched seven shutout innings and allowed just two hits while striking out five batters. On the season, he owns a 1.47 ERA and has been able to work around some issue with control to earn a pair of wins.

The Honkers will try to spoil the Stingers again on Sunday at 7:05.
