Thunder Bay, Ontario (July 1st, 2013)–The Thunder Bay Border Cats are not in the race for a first half division championship, but they certainly look to get off to a better start in July. On Monday, they accomplished that goal in a win over Alexandria.

Starter Clint Knoblauch (Florida Gulf Coast) threw a complete-game shutout with only five hits and a walk allowed. Knoblauch was also able to strike out eight batters on the way to the win.

The Border Cats will head to Alexandria for a 7:05 game on Tuesday.
