Duluth, Minn (July 3rd, 2013)–The first half for the Willmar Stingers was all about pitching, and the story was no different in the first half finale. Michael Murray (Florida Gulf Coast) put a nice bow on the end of the first half as a gift to the Willmar fans.

Murray pitched seven scoreless innings and allowed just three hits in Wednesday’s match up with Duluth. He was followed by two scoreless innings out of the bullpen which gave the Stingers a North-leading third shutout.

The Stingers will open the 2nd half with a road trip to Alexandria for a game on Thursday at 7:05.
