Madison, WI (July 9th, 2013)–The Madison Mallards won easily over the Eau Claire Express on Tuesday thanks mostly to a great effort from their starter. Cam Verbeke (Illinois State) wasn’t in line with Tuesday night’s theme as he shut down the Express.

Verbeke pitched six innings and allowed just one run on three hits and a walk. He was also able to strike out four batters in the winning effort. Verbeke is now 4-1 on the season with 41 strike outs in 32.2 innings pitched.

The Mallards will face the Wisconsin Woodchucks on Wednesday at 6:35 in Wausau.
