Wausau, WI (July 21st, 2013)–The Madison Mallards won in their last effort before the All Star Game on Sunday. Reilly Hovis (North Carolina) turned in a great start for the Mallards.
Hovis pitched six shutout innings while picking up the win. He gave up just three hits and two walks while striking out six batters. With the effort, Hovis dropped his ERA to 2.25.
The Mallards are off for the All Star Break on Monday and Tuesday.
