Mankato, Minn (August 3rd, 2013)–The Mankato MoonDogs broke the record for most runs in a single game by scoring 27 times against the Thunder Bay Border Cats on Saturday. While most batters in the lineup had great games, John Michael Twichell (UT-Arlington) led the way.

Twichell went 3/5 at the plate with four runs scored and six runs driven in. He also drew two walks as he belted two home runs.On the season, he is now hitting .297 as one of the focal points within the MoonDog offense.

The MoonDogs will try to follow up the performance in their game on Sunday at home against Duluth at 6:05.
