Willmar, Minn (August 4th, 2013)–The Willmar Stingers have had some wonderful starting pitching performances this season, and they got another on Sunday in a win over Alexandria. Andrew Woeck (North Carolina State) came up huge for the Stingers.
Woeck pitched a complete game in which he allowed just one hit, one walk, and one unearned run as he completely dominated the Blue Anchors. Most impressively, Woeck also struck out 12 batters en route to the win.
The Stingers return to a more normal schedule on Monday as they face the St. Cloud Rox at home at 7:05.
