Alexandria, Minn (August 8th, 2013)–The Alexandria Blue Anchors haven’t had a ton to celebrate this season, but they had plenty to celebrate in Thursday night’s win over Wisconsin Rapids at home. They got an excellent starting effort from Spencer Koopmans (UC Davis) on the mound.

Koopmans scattered ten hits as he pitched a complete game shutout against the Rafters. He walked only one batter and struck out six has he pitched efficiently to pick up the win and go the distance.

The Blue Anchors will try to carry the positive energy into the weekend as they host the Rafters on Friday at 7:05.
