St. Cloud, Minn (August 9th, 2013)–With Lakeshore’s convincing win on Friday, the La Crosse Loggers were faced with what nearly came down to being a must-win scenario. The St. Cloud Rox, led by Lucas Long (San Diego) made sure that the win would not be had.

Long pitched eight innings and allowed only one earned run as he completely shut down the Loggers. He allowed nine hits, but he limited the Loggers to just one walk as he struck out six batters and lowered his season ERA to 1.48.

The Rox will host the recently eliminated Mankato MoonDogs on Saturday at 6:05.
