Madison, WI (August 15th, 2013)–The Madison Mallards went to work on offense on Thursday as they scored ten runs to down the Huskies in Madison. They piled on six runs in a big fifth inning, which served as the difference in the game.
John LaPrise (Virginia) had a huge game for the Mallards out of the number two spot in the lineup. LaPrise collected four hits and scored three times as he helped serve as a table setter for the boppers in the middle of the order.
Game two of the series will be at 6:35 on Friday in Duluth.
