Alexandria-MN – The Alexandria Blue Anchors, a member of the Northwoods League, have announced the return of utility player Kris Goodman.
Goodman, a junior at the University of Iowa will return to the Anchors for a second season. Kris had a great 2013 season and led the Anchors in games played at 63, finished second on the team with 79 hits, and finished with a .309 batting average.
“It’s a privilege to get the chance to return to Alexandria this summer”, says Goodman. “I had a lot of fun last summer and I’m looking forward to 2014 where more winning and more fun will be had.”
“Kris is a super utility guy for us, he has great athletic ability and can be used in multiple roles,” said Al Newman, field manager. “Kris enjoys playing the game of baseball and is a tireless worker.”
The Blue Anchors will start the 2014 season on Tuesday May 27th at home versus the Mankato Moondogs.
The Alexandria Blue Anchors are a member of the finest developmental league for elite college baseball players, the Northwoods League.
