Alexandria-MN – The Alexandria Blue Anchors, a member of the Northwoods League, have announced the signing of Dalton Leuschke for the 2014 season.
Leuschke, a junior at the University of North Dakota will return to the Anchors for a third season, his first as a fulltime player. He will be able to use his past experiences in the league to help the new guys adjust to the demanding 72 game schedule.
“Dalton is a hometown kid from Alexandria who performed well in front of his community, says Al Newman, Field Manager. “ He is a utility player that we can use in a variety of ways and are happy to have him back.”
“I’m excited to come to Alexandria and play for the Blue Anchors. Playing at home, in front of your friends and family is amazing. A lot of kids give up their summer to go play baseball away from their family and I’m lucky enough to be able to stay at home and play.”
The Blue Anchors will start the 2014 season on Tuesday, May 27 at home versus the Mankato MoonDogs.
