Chinooks Alumni Report Summary
 
During the past few months, the Chinooks have taken a look at past alumni who were drafted by Major League Baseball clubs. In the first two years of the teams existence, 14 players have been drafted. Of those 14 former Chinooks, ten of them are currently playing in the minor league system. Here is a look at where each alumnus ended their 2013 season:

 • Drafted by the Milwaukee Brewers in the 5th Round
• Currently with the Arizona Brewers (Rookie Ball)

• Ty Young
 • Drafted by the Tampa Bay Rays in the 7th Round
• Currently with the Hudson Valley Renegades (Single A)

• Chris Cotton
 • Drafted by the Houston Astros in the 14th Round
• Currently with the Tri-City Valley Cats (Single A)

• Zack Granite
 • Drafted by the Minnesota Twins in the 14th Round
• Currently with the Elizabethan Twins (Rookie Ball)

• David Masters
 • Drafted by the Washington Nationals in the 14th Round
• Currently with the Auburn Doubleday (Single A)

• Andrew Waszak
 • Drafted by the Atlanta Braves in the 22nd Round
• Currently with the Danville Braves (Rookie Ball)

• Eric Aguilera
 • Drafted by the Los Angeles Angels in the 34th Round
• Currently with the Orem Owlz (Rookie Ball)

• Joe Greenfield
 • Drafted by the Minnesota Twins in the 36th Round
• Currently not in the MLB minor league system

• Christian Ibarra (Originally on Chinooks 2013 roster but did not appear in any games)
 • Drafted by the Pittsburgh Pirates in the 32nd Round

• Keaton Steele
 • Drafted by the Kansas City Royals in the 40th Round
• Currently not in the MLB minor league system

The Lakeshore Chinooks are a member of the finest developmental league for elite college baseball players, the Northwoods League. Playing its 21st season of summer collegiate baseball, the Northwoods League is the largest organized baseball league in the world with 18 teams, drawing significantly more fans, in a friendly ballpark experience, than any league of its kind. A valuable training ground for coaches, umpires and front office staff, more than 115 Northwoods League players have advanced to Major League Baseball, including MLB All-Stars Max Scherzer (DET), Chris Sale (CWS), Jordan Zimmermann (WAS), Curtis Granderson (NYY), Allen Craig (STL) and Ben Zobrist (TB).
