Waterloo, IA – The Waterloo Bucks have announced the hiring of Jay Haskovec as the team’s new Director of Sales and Marketing. Haskovec (pronounced HASK-o-vek) will join General Manager Dan Corbin and Assistant General Manager Clayton Grandquist in the front office for the 20th season of Bucks Baseball.
During the summer of 2012, Haskovec worked with the Bucks as a Stadium Operations intern. With the team, Haskovec handled stadium set-up and teardown on a daily basis, helped maintain stadium policies on customer service, and assisted in leading part-time staff.
Haskovec recently graduated from the University of Iowa where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Leisure Studies-Recreation and Sports Business. While at UI, Haskovec was a marketing intern for the Cedar Rapids Titans and a concessions manager for University of Iowa Recreational Services.
“I am excited to join the Bucks organization,” said Haskovec. “I hope to help the Bucks continually produce affordable family entertainment in the Cedar Valley and I look forward to interacting with our fans and partners.”

The Bucks will open the 2014 season on the road versus the Rochester Honkers on May 27, but return to Waterloo for their home opener versus Rochester on May 28.
