The Mankato MoonDogs, a member of the Northwoods league, are excited to announce a new addition to their front office. Brandon Grengs will serve as the Coordinator of Sales and Marketing for the MoonDogs for the 2014 season.

Grengs will assist with the MoonDogs’ sales efforts as well as coordinate all marketing and community outreach initiatives for the team.

The MoonDogs expect Grengs to play a big role in the organization in 2014. “We’re very excited to have Brandon join the MoonDogs for the upcoming season. He has a great background to draw from and he brings a lot of skills to the table” said MoonDogs General Manager, Greg Weis.

Brandon is the latest edition of the very successful relationship that the MoonDogs have had with Minnesota State’s Sport Management program. Grengs is currently a senior at Minnesota State University, Mankato pursing a degree in Sport Management. He has previous internship experience in summer collegiate baseball with the Northwoods League’s Alexandria franchise as well as the Coastal Plains League’s Morehead franchise. With that he has also completed an internship with the Minnesota Timberwolves and has been a very active student leader in the sport management program at MSU Mankato.

For his part, Brandon is very excited to be working with the MoonDogs “having already had two years of summer league baseball internship experience I’m thrilled to take the next step and work in the front office of the MoonDogs and I look forward to a fun and enjoyable season." Said Grengs.

The Mankato MoonDogs are a member of the finest developmental league for elite college baseball players, the Northwoods League. Playing its 21st season of summer collegiate baseball, the Northwoods League is the largest organized baseball league in the world with 18 teams, drawing significantly more fans, in a friendly ballpark experience, than any league of its kind. A valuable training ground for coaches, umpires and front office staff, more than 115 Northwoods League players have advanced to Major League Baseball, including MLB All-Stars Max Scherzer (DET), Chris Sale (CWS), Jordan Zimmermann (WAS), Curtis Granderson (NYY), Allen Craig (STL) and Ben Zobrist (TB).
