Zachary Counts, from Whitehorse Middle School Submitted the Winning Design

Madison, WI – February 21, 2014.  For the past few weeks, the Madison Mallards have been working with Madison Area Middle School students in hopes to find an artistic design for the 2014 alternate jersey.   The Mallards received over 175 submissions from 14 different schools throughout the Madison area.

After taking all designs into consideration, the Mallards are proud to announce a winner.  Zachary Counts from Whitehorse Middle School is this years contest winner.  The Mallards will work with Zachary’s submission to get a jersey designed.  The actual jersey design will be released at a later time.

The Mallards will be wearing Zachary's jersey for the first time on Wednesday, May 28th at 7:05 pm.  Zachary has been given the opportunity to throw out the first pitch to that nights game as well as ten tickets to share with his family and friends.  Zachary will also be given his very own alternate jersey.

The Madison Mallards are a member of the finest developmental league for elite college baseball players, the Northwoods League.
