Harrison was featured in the 2013 Northwoods League Big League Dreams Showcase

Green Bay, Wis. – The Green Bay Bullfrogs are pleased to announce the re-signing of OF Jimmy Coady (UW-Stevens Point) and LHP Garrett Harrison (St. Cloud State University) for the 2014 season.

OF – Jimmy Coady, 6’0”, 195lbs (L/R), Junior
The speedy Coady is back for round two in Green Bay after appearing in 45 games with the Bullfrogs a year ago. The lefty tallied a .223/.335/.293 (AVG/OBP/SLG) line, led the team with 18 stolen bases, and scored the fourth-most runs (34) despite significantly less playing time. Blame part of Coady’s absence on his stellar run through the Division III World Series with WIAC tournament champion UW-Stevens Point. Coady drove in at least one run every contest, including their lone run in their final game, as the Pointers compiled a 2-2 record in the tourney.

The performance capped off a breakout sophomore season where he paced the team with a .390 batting average, raked five home runs, and brought home 51 RBIs. It was a noticeable improvement despite a successful freshman campaign where he posted a .301/.356/.409 line, blasted two home runs, and collected 23 RBIs. The La Crosse, Wis. native and former first team Wisconsin all-stater is majoring in biology with a minor in graphic design.

LHP – Garrett Harrison, 6’5”, 190lbs (L/L), Redshirt Sophomore
The lanky lefty makes his return after a 14-game stint with Green Bay in 2013. In his eight total starts Harrison compiled a 3-4 record and whiffed 38 batters in 48.2 innings of work. Despite an average 5.36 ERA, Harrison definitely passed the eye test after being named the 16th best prospect in the Northwoods League by the prestigious Baseball America. This all came after coming off of a redshirt freshman season the previous spring at St. Cloud State University (Minn.). The former All-Conference award winner (2011) at Champlin, Minn. is an entrepreneurship major and international business minor.

The Bullfrogs take on the Battle Creek Bombers on Tuesday, May 27th at 7:05pm for the 2014 season opener.  Single game tickets will go on-sale on Saturday, April 26th at 9:00am.  Group tickets and season tickets are on sale NOW!
