Alexandria,Minn – The Alexandria Blue Anchors, a member of the Northwoods League, have announced the signing of middle infielder Cam Duzenack from Dallas Baptist University.

Duzenack, a freshman in the Patriots program has started his college career on the right foot. During his freshman campaign Cam has played in 17 games and is second on the team with a .313 batting average.

In high school he excelled at Melissa High School in Melissa, Texas. He was a two time District Most Valuable Player, and was named to the 3A All-State second team.

“I’m really excited to come play in Minnesota,” says Duzenack. “It will be a great experience and I’m thrilled to come play for the Blue Anchors this summer.”

Cam was born March 8th, 1995 and is the son of Ron and Tammy. His declared major is sport management and when not studying or playing baseball his favorite iPhone app is Candy Crush.

“Cam has been a contributor as a freshman for the Patriots this season,” said Kendall Hughson, Blue Anchors GM. “Dallas Baptist has put some good players into the league in the past couple years and we are happy to tap into that talent.”

The Blue Anchors will start the 2014 season on Tuesday May 27th at home versus the Mankato MoonDogs.
