Alexandria,Minn – The Alexandria Blue Anchors, a member of the Northwoods League, have announced the signing of right handed pitcher Jason Zgardowski.

He went 9-0 as a sophomore and set a school record with 8 complete games in 11 starts.

“I believe coming to Alexandria will be a great opportunity to play in one of the best collegiate summer leagues in the nation,” said Zgardowski. “Hopefully I can help bring a league championship to Alexandria.”

Born September 27th, 1993, Jason is originally from San Antonio, TX and is the son of Al and Becky. Jason stays busy with his 4 month old son Jason and fishing when he has time.

“Adding Jason to our pitching staff gives us another big bodied pitcher that should fare well in our ballpark,” said General Manager, Kendall Hughson. “He had success at Midland and is having a great season so far for the Rams, we look for more of the same this summer.”

The Blue Anchors will start the 2014 season on Tuesday May 27th at home versus the Mankato MoonDogs.
