MANKATO-Minn. The Mankato MoonDogs Baseball Club, a member of the Northwoods League is pleased to announce the signing of outfielders Spencer O’Neil and Eric Schenck-Joblinske for the 2014 MoonDogs season.

O’Neil, a six-foot-five-inch, 205-pound sophomore has put up solid numbers this spring for Central Arizona College. He is currently hitting .350 in 49 games for the Valqueros with 2 triples and 6 home runs. He also leads the team with 48 runs batted in.

As a freshman in 2013, O’Neil his .316 with 4 triples, 4 home runs, and 29 RBI. He was drafted in the 33rd round of the 2011 MLB Draft by the New York Yankees. His brother, Connor, pitches for Central Arizona.

Schenck, a five-foot-eleven-inch, 190-pound sophomore comes to the MoonDogs from Kirkwood Community College. He is hitting .277 this spring with 19 RBI’s, 37 runs scored, 27 walks, and an on base percentage of .422 for the Eagles. Schenck-Joblinske also possesses speed on the base path, putting up 17 stolen bases and three triples.

He was named to the second team All-Region in 2013 and has committed to play at Texas A&M in the Southeastern Conference this fall.

The MoonDogs home opener is scheduled for Wednesday, May 28 at 7:05 p.m. against the Alexandria Blue Anchors at Franklin Rogers Park. Season tickets are now on sale at the MoonDogs office located at 1221 Caledonia Street.
