Green Bay, Wis.- The Green Bay Bullfrogs welcome Parker Schwartz as the new play-by-play voice and media relations director for the 2015 season. This marks his first season with the club and the Northwoods League.

“I am thrilled to join the Green Bay Bullfrogs and look forward to coming to one of the best sports communities in America,” said Schwartz. “I have heard nothing but excellent reviews of the Northwoods League, the Bullfrogs fans, and the team’s front office.”

Schwartz has experience in Minor League Baseball as a radio producer, broadcaster, public address announcer, and media director. In 2014, he worked in Midland, Mich. At ESPN 100.9 FM where he served as a producer and broadcaster for the Great Lakes Loons Professional Baseball team. Prior to working with the Loons, Schwartz was a media coordinator for the Princeton Rays, an Appalachian League affiliate of the Tampa Bay Rays.

A Columbus, Ohio native, Schwartz is graduating this spring from DePauw University in Greencastle, Indiana. At DePauw, he was the sports director of the school’s television station, D3TV, and the campus radio station, WGRE, 91.5 FM.

“Parker brings an unquenchable love of sport complemented with a descriptive, passionate, smooth, and witty broadcasting style to the booth,” said fellow WGRE broadcaster Robert Sherman. ”His work ethic and leadership makes him not just a good broadcaster but a great team player and a joy to work with, no matter who you are.”

During his four-year stint from 2011-2015 as a voice of DePauw Tigers athletics, Schwartz also won an Indiana Associated Press Award for a radio documentary on liberal arts colleges.

"Parker has been an invaluable member of the WGRE play-by-play sports team throughout his time at DePauw University,” said Media Studies Professor Dr. Jeff McCall. “Listening to a ball game on the radio with Parker is like sitting at the game with your friend – casual, friendly and focused on sports.  Parker has bright future in sportscasting.”

The Bullfrogs will open up the 2015 season at home on May 26th against the La Crosse Loggers.  Group tickets, season tickets and 7-game packages are on sale now.  The Bullfrogs off-season hours are Monday through Friday from 9am to 5pm.  For more information please visit www.greenbaybullfrogs.com.
