Kenosha, Wis. – Two dependable arms will return to the Kenosha Kingfish pitching staff in 2015. Trevor Haas (Valparaiso University) and Brett Shimanovsky (St. Louis University) will be back in Kenosha for the second season.

Haas, a 6’2", 185-pound junior will join the Kingfish for his second season after a solid summer in 2014. From Mount Prospect, Illinois, Haas appeared in 14 games and finished the season with a 3.52 ERA with 19 strikeouts in 61.1 innings pitched. He finished the season with 4-4 record

Haas appeared in 16 games on the mound at Valparaiso University in 2014. He had 13 strikeouts and a 3.51 ERA. During his career at John Hershey High School, Haas was a three year letter winner. He was named All-Conference, All-Area and Most Valuable Player in his senior season.

Shimanovsky, a 6'1", 180-pound sophomore from Highland Park, Illinois will also return to Kenosha.  He appeared in 21 games and finished the season with a 2.84 ERA in 25.1 innings of work.  He had 24 strikeouts and 3 saves, compiling a 3-1 record.

As a freshman at St. Louis University, Shimanovsky was one of the top bullpen arms. He finished the 2014 season with a 3.38 ERA with 27 strikeouts in 24 innings pitched. At Highland Park High School, Shimanovsky ranked No. 21 in Illinois’ Class of 2013 by Prep Baseball Report.
