Kenosha, Wis. – The Kenosha Kingfish have added two more players from the 2014 roster that look to continue their success this summer. Zach Jones, a strong bat from Northwestern University, and Alex Borglin, a talented infielder, from Central Michigan University, will join the Kingfish for their second seasons in 2015.
Jones, a 6’1”, 200-pound junior, will return to Kenosha after a solid 2014 campaign. The Glenview, Illinois native hit .312 with 14 RBIs in 32 games. Jones was a benefit in the outfield as well, compiling a .987 field percentage in 24 games.
In his first two seasons at Northwestern University, Jones finished with a .309 batting average with 31 RBIs. He recorded a .985 field percentage. Jones was also named Academic All Big Ten in his 2014 season.
Borglin, a 6’0″, 175-pound sophomore is a native of Rochester Hills, Michigan. In the 2014 Kingfish season, He hit .222 with 7 RBIs in 35 games. The versatile utility player finished the season with a .920 field percentage.
Borglin has started all 8 games for Central Michigan University to start the 2015 season. He has 7 hits, 7 RBIs, 1 steal and sports a .241 batting average through just 8 games.
