The Duluth Huskies have signed Nick Valaika and Moises Ceja from the UCLA Bruins of the Pac 12.
Valaika is a 5’11” right handed freshman infielder from Valencia, California. He attended Hart High School where during his senior season with a .400 batting average with 3 home runs and 13 RBI playing in 27 games. He was selected to the 2014 All State first team. Nick competed in the West Coast League following his senior season in high school.
Ceja is entering the 2015 season as a sophomore. The 6’0” right-handed pitcher from Arleta, California appeared in two games during his freshman campaign with the Bruins. Both appearances were out of the bullpen, pitching a combined two innings of scoreless baseball.
“We really look forward to continuing the relationship with Coach Savage and the UCLA Bruins, they have sent quality student athletes’ year in and year out. We look for Nick and Moises to have an immediate impact this summer,” stated Huskies Manager Daniel Hersey.
