Wausau, WIS- The Woodchucks announced the addition of two right-handed pitchers today; Zach Stone from UC Davis and Devin Skapura from Texas A&M – Corpus Christi.

Stone, a 6’1” sophomore from Eureka, CA has appeared in 13 games this season, has 13 strike outs and is credited with 5 saves for the UC Davis Aggies. Stone has a batting average against of only .171. In the 2014 season Zach had 25 appearances as the Aggies closer, was named the NCBWA Stopper of the Year Mid-Season Watch List and was an All-Big West Conference Honorable Mention.

Devin Skapura is a 6’3 sophomore from Kingwood, TX. Skapura is in the starting lineup for the Islanders, starting 5 games and striking out 17. Skapura has a batting average against of .295 and an ERA of 4.44. Skapura had 31 strikeouts in 15 appearances in 2014.

The WISCONSIN WOODCHUCKS Home Opener is Friday, May 29th in the newly renovated Athletic Park with Post Game Fireworks presented by Ministry Health Care. Single game ticket will go on sale in April for the 2015 season.
