(Rochester, Minn.)— The Rochester Honkers Baseball Club announced today the signing of right handed pitcher Tyler Feyereisen (Fire-Izen) from the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minnesota to a temporary contract for the 2015 season.
Feyereisen is a 6-foot-3, 215-pound sophomore from Oakdale, Minnesota. Currently he is 2-1 with a 3.29 ERA. Feyereisen has made four appearances on the season, three of which are starts, pitching 13.2 innings and striking out 11. As a freshman, Feyereisen only made 1 appearance on the season, falling to Mono, shutting him down all spring.
Temporary players are guaranteed 10 days with the team with a maximum stay of the end of the first half, depending on roster size. Alex Schultz started off as a temporary player last summer for Rochester, and was intra-league waived at the end of the first half, but was able to return with a full-time contract when the team lost a player the next day and he cleared waivers.
The Rochester Honkers 22nd season begins on May 26th when the Mankato MoonDogs bark into Mayo Field for a 7:05pm first pitch. Season Tickets, Bonus Books, Suites and Patios are now available. Call the Rochester Honkers office at 507-289-1170 for more information. The Honkers are also looking for host families for the 2015 season and ask all interested parties to call the business office for more information.
