Wausau, WIS- The Woodchucks announced the addition of two new pitchers from the University of Kentucky today. Robert Zeigler and Dylan Dwyler will both join the team this summer for the first time.

RHP Robert Zeigler is a 6’1 sophomore from Defiance, OH. After pitching in six games during his collegiate debut season in 2014, Ziegler earned a spot on the postseason 27-man roster for the SEC and NCAA Tournaments. Last summer Ziegler played for the Lima Locos in the Great Lakes Collegiate League where he threw 30 strikeouts. Ziegler had a great fall practice season and has started 3 games for Kentucky in 2015, throwing 16 strikeouts. As a senior at Defiance High School Ziegler had a record of 10-0 with an ERA of 0.45 and 109 strikeouts strikeouts.

Dylan Dwyler, a 6’1 junior from Murray, KY, is a versatile LPH. Dwyler has appeared in 10 games for the Wildcats in 2015, with a 2.65 ERA and 13 strikeouts. Dwyler has a career record of 8-3 at Kentucky. As a sophomore Dwyler started 10 games and appeared in 14, striking out 47. Dylan threw the first midweek complete-game shutout in UK history in his third career start, tossing a nine-inning blanking over Cincinnati. Dwyler also appeared on the SEC Freshman Academic Honor Roll in 2013.

The WISCONSIN WOODCHUCKS Home Opener is Friday, May 29th in the newly renovated Athletic Park with Post Game Fireworks presented by Ministry Health Care. Single game ticket will go on sale April 24 for the 2015 season.
