Despite the late-game heroics from the Lakeshore Chinooks in their 4-2 victory over the Battle Creek Bombers, they were stifled by a strong pitching performance throughout the first six innings of the contest.

The first 2015 Pitcher of the Night belongs to Alex Hermeling of the Battle Creek Bombers. Heremeling, a senior right-hander from Louisiana-Monroe went 6 1/3 innings, surrendering only two hits, did not give up a walk, and struck out eight. However the bullpen could not maintain the 1-0 Battle Creek lead once he left the game, resulting in Heremling receiving a no decision.

The Bombers will face the Chinooks again tomorrow at 12:05 PM.
