Although the Honkers edged out a 2-0 victory over the Mankato Moondogs, they were completely shut down through the first five innings of the ballgame by a exceptional pitching performance.

Wednesday’s Pitcher of the Night belongs to Mankato Moondog lefty Austin Warner. A 5’11 senior from Bellarmine University, Warner pitched brilliantly striking out 10 of the 18 batters he faced. He kept the Honkers in check allowing only three hits, a walk, and surrendering no runs. Unfortunately for Warner, he received no run support during his outing, as he left the game with the score 0-0, resulting in a no decision.

The Moondogs travel to Waterloo Thursday to face the Bucks at Riverfront Stadium. First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 PM.
