For the second time this week, Battle Creek Bombers pitcher Alex Hermeling received the Pitcher of the Night award as he turned in another impressive outing, leading Battle Creek over the Kenosha Kingfish 10-1. Hermeling started game one of Sunday's doubleheader, and went the distance (seven innings) as he collected his first complete game of the season, only giving up three hits, an earned run, while finishing with five strikeouts. Hermeling, a redshirt senior from Louisiana-Monroe sports an outstanding 0.55 ERA, and is tied for the league lead with 16 strikeouts.

Hermeling and the Bombers will look to continue their strong start to the season as they host the Rochester Honkers tomorrow at 7:05 PM.
