The Border Cats stole a victory at home as they scored two runs in the 9th inning to defeat the Alexandria Blue Anchors 5-4, led by a special night from their catcher. 

Nate Nolan proved to be the hero Friday night, as he hit a walk-off RBI single in the 9th, pulling the Border Cats to .500 on the season with a 5-5 record. Nolan, a sophomore from St. Mary's also provided a two-run home run in the 5th inning as he finished the night 2-for-4 with three RBI and a run scored. Nolan has proved to be one of the hottest hitters in the early stages of the Northwoods League, sporting an outstanding .429 batting average, which is second best out of all batters. 

Nolan and Thunder Bay look to take the series sweep of the Blue Anchors as they face off Saturday at 6:05 PM.
