The Wisconsin Rapids moved back to .500 on the year as they defeated the Kalamazoo Growlers at home 9-2, supported by a sensational night by their special Center Fielder Jake Sandlin, who has now won Player of the Night for the second time this year.
Jake Sandlin continues to be a force in the Northwoods League as he carried his team to victory, with four hits, three of them doubles, while starting off the game with a solo home run. He would finish 4-for-5 with three runs and four RBIs. The left-handed batter from Georgia College has made it look easy in the first two weeks of the season as he is sixth in the league with a .407 batting average, second in hits (22), first in doubles (8), third in home runs (3), and fourth in RBIs (12).
Sandlin and the Rafters will look for the series sweep as they host Kalamazoo again tomorrow at 7:05 PM.
