The Stingers brought themselves within two games of the North Division lead, as they took game one of their series between the Rox 5-2. 

Starter Tyler Hanson contributed a solid performance off the mound as he pitched six strong innings in a victory, allowing only one run on four hits, while striking out seven Rox batters. A sophomore from Minnesota, Hanson continues to be a reliable arm off the mound for Willmar, owning a 2-0 record, 2.08 ERA and 12 strikeouts through 16 2/3 innings. 

Willmar will look for the series sweep against St. Cloud, as they face off at 7:05 PM.
