The Stingers continue their push into playoff contention amongst the North Division, blanking the Thunder Bay Border Cats 7-0, and winning their fourth consecutive game.
Will Lydon was instrumental in the shutout victory, en route to winning his second Pitcher of the Night for 2015. The 6'3 right-hander from Pacific was terrific, hurling eight shutout innings, surrendering just two hits and striking out four. Taking on the role as the ace of Willmar's pitching staff, Lydon has been outstanding through four starts, owning a 4-0 record with a 0.32 ERA and 19 strikeouts through 28 innings pitched.
Lydon and the Stingers will look to extend their win streak to five, as they take on Thunder Bay again at 7:05 PM.
