Thunder Bay continues to stay afloat in the fight for a playoff spot in the North standings, as they took care of the Stingers 5-2 led by a terrific pitching performance.

Starter Johnny York controlled the game from the mound in the win, turning in a seven inning, three hit effort, while allowing two runs (one earned) and striking out five. Granted his first start of the 2015 season, the sophomore from St. Mary's in California did not disappoint, keeping his team within two games from a playoff bid in the division.

The Border Cats will look to continue their progression up the standings, as they host Willmar again at 7:05 PM.
