The Express fell 6-1 on Thursday against the North-leading Honkers, dropping to 9-14 in the first half, however their starting pitcher contributed a dominant performance in the loss.

Dalton Roach was outstanding, pitching seven shutout innings, allowing no runs, one hit and struck out nine, however Roach's bullpen did not hold the slim 1-0 lead given when he departed. The freshman from Minnesota State received a no decision, but has been a consistent force in the rotation holding a 2.25 ERA and striking out 26 through 20 innings pitched.

Eau Claire will look to bounce back into the win column as they host the Mankato MoonDogs tomorrow at 7:05 PM.
