The Border Cats took game one of their home series against Waterloo, blanking the Bucks 3-0 and improving to 14-17 on the year. Starter Julian Loret de Mola was absolutely outstanding, throwing a complete game shutout, and collecting his second win. 

Loret de Mola bounced back from a tough stretch to throw an absolute stellar performance off the mound, allowing just five hits and struck out five over nine scoreless innings. The junior from Nova Southeastern now owns a 4.26 ERA and a 2-1 record, while striking out 15 batters through 25 1/3 innings. 

Thunder Bay will look for the series sweep Sunday as they face off against the Bucks at 5:05 PM.
