Lakeshore lost the series finale 3-1 to Wisconsin, getting swept by Woodchucks, and falling to 0-2 to begin the second half, but the blame was not placed on their starter Marshall Kasowski, who was stellar tonight.
Kasowski went eight strong innings, allowing just one run on two hits, while tying a season-high with eleven strikeouts. The sophomore from Houston has proven to have some of the nastiest stuff in the league, as he has recorded 35 strikeouts through just 19 1/3 innings pitched. The right-hander owns a 3-1 record with a 1.39 ERA, proving to be the ace of the Lakeshore pitching staff.
Kasowski and the Chinooks will look to rebound from their slow start as they travel to Kalamazoo to take on the Kalamazoo Growlers for a pair of doubleheaders with the first one starting tomorrow at 5:05 PM.
