Lakeshore powered their way past Kalamazoo in game one of their July 4th doubleheader, as the Chinooks offense tore apart Growlers pitching in a 16-2 victory, however their starting pitcher provided an easy win on his end as well.
Starter Lake Bachar controlled the seven-inning contest, throwing a complete game where he surrendered just two runs (one earned) on seven hits, while fanning five, as he improved to 3-2 on the year. The right-hander from UW-Whitewater has been a force in the Chinooks rotation with a 2.09 ERA and 42 strikeouts through 38 2/3 innings of work.
Lakeshore travels to Battle Creek to begin their two-game series with the Bombers tomorrow starting at 6:05 PM.
