The Huskies notched their sixth win of the new half, as they controlled the game throughout, defeating the Woodchucks 5-1 to sweep the interleague series.
Starter Mitchell Bauer carried his team to victory led behind a terrific Sunday pitching performance. The righty from Minnesota State Mankato went seven full innings, giving up a run on three hits, striking out three batters en route to his first win of the season. Bauer has been solid in his new role as starter, allowing just five runs in his last 18 1/3 innings of work since being crowned as part of the rotation.
The Huskies have an off-day tomorrow, but host Green Bay on Tuesday for their series opener beginning at 6:35 PM.
