The Chinooks took game one of their interleague series opener, shutting out the Eau Claire Express 3-0, while severe weather shortened the game to six innings. However it was Lakeshore's John Schreiber who provided a commanding effort off the mound in their victory.

Schreiber was terrific tonight, throwing the complete six innings, surrendering just five hits, allowing no runs and striking out five batters. The freshman from Kent State University has been filthy all season, owning a 1.80 ERA through 30 innings pitched, with a 2-0 record and 23 strikeouts. Schreiber has been stellar in his last three starts as well, allowing just one run through 17 innings of work.

Lakeshore looks to build upon their two-game win streak as they host Kalamazoo at 6:35 PM.
